What is wrong with having no connection to any social media?
My friends think it's weird I have no facebook, no fancy cell phone, I never text, no real connection to any social media. I honestly just think it's all overrated especially with the latest tech gear. People wait in line just to replace some device they got a few months back with a phone, ipad, or whatver. Kind of a stupid trend.

I just have a simple cell phone that calls and an email. I've got a youtube channel, but I don't post videos to entertain people. Just myself with little views anyways. Whatever. Plus I still read books. I'd rather talk to people face to face in the real world.

I'm with you there, and I'm a 17 year old. Although I do admit I text a lot. But mostly because I want to talk to my friends and they prefer to text. But I don't have any Facebook or twitter or any of that nonsense.

People think that everyone who does something different from all the "cool" people are weird. There's nothing wrong with it. In fact, none of my friends,or me, have any social media, we all prefer basic phones so we can contact each other, maybe play a few games, we absolutely love books compared to every thing else, and no one has even noticed that we're different.

There's nothing wrong with it.

Most of the 'social media' out there is a complete waste of time. I mean, do I really care what someone had for breakfast or who they think will win America's Got Talent (insert appropriate country there)? Sure, you're missing out on downloading that cool new app that you'll play with for half-an-hour, show your mates, then delete because it was pretty useless actually but that's no great loss.

Youtube? Yeah, if there's one thing we need its more stupid teenagers filming themselves doing spectacular face plants or the multiple ways they can hurt their testicles. Or more skanks in their underwear twerking for likes.

So no. I'm with you. I avoid social media too. I've better things to do with my life.
