what is up with the new facebook privacy?

I am getting friend request which i dont want friend request because thats the way i had my privacy settings. it seems facebook changed the privacy terms around and i think its just ridiculous at how much privacy is taken away from you now? is there any way to change the privacy terms back to the old ones or someway around them so i can get my friend requests to stop and people to not see most of my profile?

Try going into settings-privacy settings. Click on contact information. go down the list to " add as friend' and on the right side of this is a drop down box. you can change to "Everyone" or friends of friends. You can also change whom sees your address etc.
