parents on facebook!?
Does anyone know how parents can look at a child's facebook? This happened to one of my friends when her mom busted her out for having one. Is there a program they use? or they make a fake one then check ours & is there anyway around our privacy settings? i hate how parents can't trust us. I'm 15.
those are goood points, but my parents trust meee, but im just wondering if they have anyways of looking at them anyway

errr... spyware?
Dude, just talk to your 'rents about facebook. It's seriously no big deal. Tell them you're not doing anything stupid on there because it's for all to see and all that crap.

there's a thing where you can set it so that ppl can only see your default if you're friends with them

It depends on the person's privacy settings.

I'll use you for an example if you don't mind.

Say you have a facebook account. Your picture's on it, you're in a network (Let's say..Vancouver). Your privacy settings are the default ones set by facebook

Now your parents want to see if you have a account. All they have to do is signup for an account.
Now comes the tricky part. Since your privacy settings allow it, if they type your name in the search box (ie. "John Doe"), they would eventually come to your entry. However all they would see is your name, network, and picture.
The next they would do (if they know how to Tongue) is to join the same network as you (in your case, Vancouver). Then they would have full access to your profile (again, with the default privacy settings, which allow anyone in your network(s) to see your profile).

To prevent this, all you have to do is raise your privacy settings (@ http://www.facebook.com/privacy/ [Account (top right)-->privacy]).
If you raise it to maximum, they will not be able to find you at all.

So yes, they DO have a way of looking at it, DEPENDING on your privacy settings.
