PLEASE HELP Does my computer have a virus? and if so, how do i get rid of it?!?!?
It all started when I got home from school, I turned on my computer and went to Facebook, but whenever I tried to go to facebook.com, an "aw snap" page came up (I am using Google Chrome) so I naturally searched the internet to find out how to get this issue fixed. But several minutes later, every page i went to came up as an "untitled" page. After exiting out of chrome, I tried to click on some other icon on my desktop, but everything I clicked just gave me a pop up saying something like "windows cannot find this program" even things like command prompt would give me this error!!!! After all of this, I tried going to Kaspersky anti-virus to scan for viruses. IT WON'T EVEN LET ME SCAN MY COMPUTER FOR MALAWARE!!!! I am very worried, and I think that I am encountering a computer virus, so I would like to know if anyone here can give me any advice on how to start to get rid of it.

I know how to get rid of it, considering it has messed with your windows program AND Web browser, the best way is a full scale re-installment of windows/operating system. Also alternative is you could go to the nearest computer store and they'll patch things up without a full scale installation though it would cost you.
I don't use kaspersky for that very reason: Viruses can block it. Download zone fire alarm and it will find the virus for you without even you having to set it to look for it, it should remove it for free. Downloading zone fire alarm is free and best off all it has anti-virus AND Fire wall. You need both to be secure. The fire wall will block the ip the virus is activating from and the anti-virus should be able to find the new virus since its updated all the time. Listen to my advice and take zone fire alarm. It will save you cash and a headache. Also best way to deal with it is shut off the web after zone is installed, other wise itll screw you.

restart the comptuer, as the computer is restarting continually press the F8 button at the top of the keyboard . Make sure to do this before Windows starts. You will eventually be prompted with a screen that the screenshot shows. Go into "safe mode with networking" and then run your malware scan from there. I recommend downloading malware bytes as an initial scan.

The only way to check is do the following.

1. Run command prompt as administrator then perform a system file checker scan using this command (without the quotes): "sfc /scannow".
2. Perform a full scan on your computer using Trend Micro Titanium Security or Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
