drinking alchohol before meeting with a friend in town?

I have social anxiety and i feel like im losing all my friends and this person is one of my best friends but lately iv even been finding it hard to be around her aswell i am so silent and i dont want to lose another friend, she jas problems tooo and she understands but i dont want her going home being like omg i had the most boring time :/

Im getting the bus down and back, im not getting drunk just enough so i dont care, is it a bad idea, im worried about getting raped or something

I started off like you, and in the end it very nearly killed me (off the booze after 30 years now). It is extremely unlikely that you will be raped. If anything, being drunk (even slightly) can take you off guard and therefore increase the chances of being raped. You need to get counselling. I think that this 'social anxiety' thing is one of those new conditions doctors make up just to keep their patients quiet, and to create a new market for drug companies and therapists. You're just nervous - just zip up your man suit and get out there.
