You don't have to accept if you don't want to ,I know I wouldn't lol I see people with hundreds of (friends) and they probably don't even know them

Go to-

you'll find-
1.
" Who can look me up?
Who can look you up using the email address or phone number you provided? "

Edit this and change it to Friends ( most restrictive ).

This way Only you can send a Friend Request to others OR you'll have to personally give you FB Username to other person to look you up.

2. Do you want other search engines to link to your Timeline?

Chg to NO. (this way your FB profile details won't come up on Google, Yahoo search etc )

3. On your Right Hand Side, Top, beside ' Home ' you'll Find a Lock ie- Privacy Shortcuts.
Under that> Who Can Contact me? > Who Can send me Friend Request > Friends of Friends.

Total Strangers can hence have to first send you a message so that you can add them and they cannot add you!

Do these and your problem will be sorted!
