what does it mean when my ex boyfriend indirectly contact me?!?

So I dated this guy for a year, but we were on and off for the last couple of months and now its over. We havent been together for about 4 months now and he has a new girlfriend. But recently hes been favorting some of my tweets and I dont follow him and he doesnt follow me on twitter. Is he trying to contact me? Im so confused. What does this mean?

He's probably trying to initiate some form of contact to show that he's maybe interested in being friends again. If you still have feelings for him, or it'll confuse you to be just friends you should probably just ignore him.
