FREE MARKET at work (ENERGY SUPPLIERS) ????
Hello to all you right wing Torys .... please tell us saddo left wingers ..... we are a bit slow on the uptake ......... how this "market philosophy" thing works ???
For example ... the great multi billion pound rakers .. the ENERGY COMPANIES ???? errr... excuse my sarcasm, but how is it benefiting the people, especially the millions of pensioners and poor people who will die this year because they can not or dare not turn on their heating ????

You know .. those same pensioners you will be saluting and pontificating over on November 11th Remembrance Sunday - our brave pensioners ??
Tell me how you square the circle please ???
Edit > As I expected .... no right wing torys defending themselves or speaking in support of their ideology.

It's very simple and based upon the Margaret Fascist Thatcher dictum that you 'shop around'. Not forgetting Victorian Values - the workhouse, and children working down the mines with no shoes.

Old Soldier British Army 1957-1965 (age 15 to 24).

At the end of it all we are treated just like cannon fodder for the rich to rip us off.

There has never been a free market. The idea is idealistic but not realistic much like Communism. So to blame anything on something that has never existed is irrational. Sure regulations have been removed but to call that a free market when there are other regulations governing the same industry is ignorant.

To call Fascism a "free market" ideology is phucking absurd. The economics of Fascism is Corporatism. There are 3 main things Corporatism require to exist

1) Artificial persons (Corporate Person-hood)
2) A state to sanction artificial persons through corporate charters
3) Regulatory capture. Regulatory capture requires a regulatory body which is only possible with a state that regulates industry meaning it is not a "free market" ideology.

Corporatism as an economic philosophy was created in a book called Rerum Novarum (On Revolution The Rights and Responsibilty of Capital and Labor) in 1890 to combat Marxism and Capitalism. It was implimented by Mussolini in the 20's

Quite right. Slaves were sold in free markets, too.

No more markets - renationalise the bastards, without compensation, under user control, at social prices, as a public service.

And railways. And buses. And water. And drainage. And the Post Office. And telecommunications.
