My dad wont help my family with anything!!!! please help!?

My dad so beyond lazy! It's to the point where my mom sister and i cant take it! we want to move and he does too because our house is too small but he will not lift a finger to help! my dad sits in the basement all hours of the day, sleeps, drinks, goes on facebook, and if we are lucky he we sometimes come up to grab food and rarely does he even say anything. He will also most of the time just take his dinner down stairs! it is almost like hes not even there. Hes home around the same time that im home because hes a teacher but i dont ever see him! He never takes me to any of my sports, doesnt help clean, doesnt know how to make any food except frozen pizza, he wont feed my sister and i, he just refuses to do anything that requires him to move! my poor mom has to everything herself and all my dad does is complain to her and gives her more things to do! i try to help my mom as much as possible but there is only so much i can do. i dont know what to do with him. he is not engaged in me or my sisters life at all! We just cant take much more of his laziness! even if we try to tell him to help us he just complains that he always have to do anything when he does NOTHING. i dont know what to do anymore!! please help me!!!

Ask mom to seek counseling to find out why she is taking this from him. She then may find the courage to leave your dad. You and your sister can learn how to fix your own meals. It isn't that hard. If dad wants food he will have to fend for himself. Stop talking to dad, helping him or expecting anything from him. He seems to have his own demons and he needs to learn to get help with them.
