Iphone 5 keeps adding facebook friends to contacts?

i got this spring clean app to delete every contact and it worked but when i check back on contacts one random person from facebook is there. i delete that person. i check another day and now a different facebook friend is on my contacts. even if i keep delting another person comes up eventually. why is this and how can i stop it?

Try deleting your Facebook app, then re download it, and if it asks to sync your friends click no or try going to the settings on your app and see if it says anything.
