What happens when I delete my facebok account?
So I deleted my account recently, and know it has been deleted as it is 14 days after it was scheduled to be deleted and the email I used is no longer on the facebook system.

My question is, why can some of my old friends still see my name and picture on our previous messages to each other from my old account?

Does facebook do a monthly refresh or something and get rid of all thumbnails and names on old messages of deleted accounts?
It still says my name and not "Facebook User" after deletion

just don't use it anymore. leave it on them

you can log on to it any time you want after you delete it
it will never be truly be deleted
