I understand your question as people who are 'actively trading' in the market.

If we look at the number of investor trading in a particular trading day, it would be somewhere around 6-7 lac people.

If we look at unique investors it would be around 15 -18 lacs

If we look at it over a year it would be around 35-50 lacs.

This is out of probably around 1.6 cr. demat accounts. Only around 40-50% of these demat account holders will have a broking account. In a year if around 50% of these are active the above numbers will be the resultant.
