How much data is 1GB for Iphone 4s?

I just got an iphone thats in a plan with 3 other devices (moms ipad&phone,and sisters phone). there are 4gb that we all share (so 1 gb for each device). i dont go on twitter or vine, facebook, etc very often on my phone since i have laptop,
is 1gb a month enough for me to leave my data on (i plan to turn it off at night) so i can recieve imessages from my friends and text them?

1GB is plenty. I'm a heavy user of mostly-text services like Facebook and Twitter and rarely go above 600MB a month. You only really have to be concerned if you are streaming lots of videos/music or tethering a computer and downloading things.

3 GB which is 3072 MB
