Why did my ex Re add me on facebook but doesnt really talk to me?

i deleted my ex off my facebook about 3 months ago. Then on christmas he re adds me back and sends me a message saying merry xmas and put 5 kisses. I responded thanks you too and he didnt say anything back.

i dont get it? hes the one that dumped me (said he lost feelings), now that were friends on facebook, he NEVER likes anything of mine or bothers to talk to me, but he ALWAYS likes his friends and other peoples posts/status/pics/ect..

whats going in his head? why is he doing this?
also, he has been calling me from private numbers as well here and there (went to the phone company and they showed me the number)...

and he made his best friend message me on facebook, his friend was just asking me what im doing and that he wants to hang out soon.

Facebook is a very casual site for social networking so he may have just been flirty/friendly with your for the sake of the holidays. Don't read too much into the Facebook action. If he sends you a hand written letter saying he loves you and wants you back, shows up to your doorstep to have a chat with you, or any other actions that are personal and one-on-one, then I would say you can read more into it and analyze it.

Probably so he can keep an eye on you and see if you are dating/talking to other guys. Even though he broke things off with you a part of him most likely still feels like you are still his.

Or he is just trying to be nice and make sure you don't hate him or anything.
