Ok im lost on these trending topics on twitter. What exactly are they? and how do you start a trending topic? And what does it mean when people put the # symbol and then words after it? It has something to do with the trending topics but i dont know what. Please help!

Trending topics
are topics that are most talked about .
you start one by talking about something & than telling your friends to talk about it & it gets bigger . the # symbol really doesn't mean anything . no . just in your twitter when you are talking about what your doing include one of the trendy topics & you'll get on there <3 .
