How to Answer "Why do you want to be a blogger" Question?

Hi all,
I am applying for a blogging position at my college, however, I am currently lost as to how to answer this ("Why do you want to be a (insert school name) blogger?) question other than, "I would like to become a (insert school name) blogger because the position would allow me to be a more active member on-campus, become better acquainted with other students, faculty, staff, and meet new students as well. In addition the position would allow me to gain experience working with other people."

Any suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance.

You could also write about how you want to gain experience in the social media field and utilize your computer knowledge. You should have some knowledge about programming so you can change the layout of the blog, add links etc.

You probably need to know how to edit pictures, know some graphic design, and maybe edit videos.

You should also want to be a blogger so you can inform students, faculty, and future students how to best utilize services offered on campus.

If you are interested in social media, I recommend you take a computer science course if you have not done so already. You can also teach yourself how to edit by messing around with editing software.
