my ex friend was incredibly rude to me?

My ex best friend thinks she is too good to talk to me. When we were in college she was my best friend and we would do everything together. I moved to a new town after college and she went to graduate school where she made all these new friends. She told me "I don't need you. I have these other people who are my close friends now." I cried and I tried to rekindle the friendship but it was one sided. She posts stuff on facebook like "love my best friend. We talk everyday" about her new and some of her old friends. She just chose to dump me though and I am 100% sure I am the closest thing she ever had to a real friend. It drives me nuts though that she has all these new friends while n I have to struggle. Any advice?

Friends like that are not true friends, and who knows if she ever really was your true friend. I've had similar situations like this happen to me before (right before I started college actually) and it's sad to lose someone who used to be so close to you. But that is life. Move on and keep your other friends close to you that treat you better. Pick up a new hobby, rekindle old hobbies, live your life in a way that makes you happy. You don't need someone like her to bring you down. For the Facebook thing, I recommend either deleting her as a friend, or at least hide her statuses from your newsfeed so you don't have to see her posts. She doesn't deserve you. You need better friends. Don't waste another thought on that prick. I doubt she is as close and happy with her new friends or there would be no need to announce it or be so mean to you.
