I called him out on it and he said it was a complete joke and it's not bad... But I don't get it? Am I getting hurt over nothing?

How do I stop being so uptight and not care? When he jokes around, he uses hashtags which is kind of annoying

It's probably his way to jokingly undermine you. Since your name in his phone was probably gf before or something. I'd just forget it. It is a pretty dick move but you could do the same thing in your phone?
