How do I ask for a facebook account?

I'm 17 and my parents wont let me have a facebook account. I only want it to keep in contact with friends when I can't do so with ny phone, or if they don't own a phone. About 2 years ago, they told me that they didn't want me to have one to protect me from anything "inappropriate". Language isn't a problem, because they allow me to play games with swearing and stuff, its mainly pictures they are worried about, but Facebook doesn't allow NSFW images to be posted, so that argument is invalid.

What do I do to convince my parents to allow me to get a facebook to talk to like 25 people?

tell your parents you are grown up and not a kid any more if you want to watch porn then so be it its your body not theirs, you have a right to do these things. you may live under your house so you follow their rules but the internet is outside of their house therefore out of their jurisdiction tell them to F off

Just talk to them..it's not a big thing to have a facebook in this 2014 just tell them,
and you are 17 years old ,right..? create one by yourself with out your parents knowing..only after you make it, tell them or send them a friend request?


Promise them that you wont do or post anything bad ther..only thing you will do is chat.
make some deals like they can check on your fb whenever they want..blah..blah..it may sound funny..but they will forget to do it after a while..you will be freeeee

You can tell your password to your parents so that they have access to your account and can keep a check on your activities. You can stay in touch with your friends while they stay content that you are not being exposed to any inappropriate content. Although this will reduce your privacy (obviously) but it MIGHT just convince your parents to let you have a Facebook account, after all something is better than nothing!
