facebook notifications in right hand corner? come back.?

the little box that pops up in the right hand corner when you sign into facebook that tells your new notifications... i x'ed out and now when i write on people's walls, if they respond to what i wrote, i never know because facebook doesn't tell me. how can i get it to where it will pop back up when i log on and let me know who responded to my wall post?

i already did the thing.. i don't want it to email me the notifications, i want the little red flag thing to pop up. any help?

Notification settings. There's also options in the right side on which applications you want notifications on.
