Adding girls on Facebook?

I am looking to meet girls online on Facebook and find a girlfriend.

I have tried online dating sites like Match, Okcupid and had no success on it.

Can i add girls that i don't know on Facebook and message them or will it be creepy?

If a girl accepts the friend request on Facebook? what should i say in the 1st message?

I've been in this boat before,
- Online dating would seem as the quickest and easiest fix as you can do this at your own leisure sitting behind the computer screen
- Social media sites may not be the best option, could be a bit stalker-ish
- Try joining health and fitness clubs, going to cafes, socialising with friends and collegues because you are bound to meet someone at some point
- There are also singles nights, where you go to a venue and speak to different people within a short space of time
