Does it really matter if you have lots of friends on Facebook?

Someone told me that if you have more than 200 friends on facebook means that you are 'very popular'.

it don't mean that it means you have alot of ppl that are "friends" i dont use facebook for the simple fact that i then know what ppl i can really call my friends, does a friend really only take 3 sek of there time to say something on you on facebook or do they walk the 20 min walk it is to my apartment to tell me something, they walk and they dont complain about it so

Who cares if your popular? Is a facebook contact truly a friend? The someone who told you this is a loser. I personally find solice in knowing my facebook contacts are true friends. Not the generic/impress my contacts type of friends. You need to grow up and start thinking for yourself. Why conform to others standards. Conform to your own standards.

Not at all. you got lot of friend on facebook does not mean anything at all. it just tool to connect with your friends not a measure tool on how many friend you got.

people just add other people ,to get a high friend count
they dont even mean anything to them
i just add people i know not for an high friend count

Definitely Not!
I only add my best best friends. only the people i would talk to and that i would invite to parties etc, so only close friends. some people have over 300 friends, which is pointless, they barely even know them and they allow them to look at all their photos and everything. I mean, What is the point! under 30 is enough for me! and i am proud of it!!! TOO MANY FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK IS SILLY AS THEY ARE NOT GENUINE!!!!! if you add too many, for popularity, the people just turn into numbers that don't mean a thing!
Remember, you don't have to say "yes" to requests!!!
