How to sell more in this business ? Please, some ideas!?
Hello guys. I would like to explain my situation and look for some ideas on how to promote myself, and how to make more sales.

So, I am a student from abroad, studying in one university in Finland in English.
I am contracted by a Finnish electricity company as a sales agent.
Our product is as follows:
We are producing electricity from the hydropower, and we are selling it to the costumers. We are giving 6 months contracts, with the 1st month which will be FREE, and the next months will be 5 % cheaper than they have with the current local electricity company. They do not need to do anything, our company has their own sectors, and they deal with the cancellation of the current contract and with the implementation of the new one. As I stated above, we produce cheap and green electricity and everything is easy.

But, the thing is that here in Finland it's extremely expensive to advertise on TV or newspapers so my company is using an "interesting way" to make deals.
We are calling people on the phone, we have an application which the company pays for, and we have the information of people, their names, their addresses, and their company. Also, we have the price lists of other companies ,and we know the exact prices that the costumers pay. That's the way we are doing now. I am calling people, and I am telling them our product, but they seem not very interested to do business on phone. They either don't believe I am real, they might think I am doing some "phishing", or they just don't want to do business by phone. Especially that I am a foreigner in Finland, and Finnish people are known as cold ones(it's been 3 months since I have started this job and I have sold ONLY TO foreigners by now), and sometimes they are really cold and rude. They hang up the phone without even saying a good word.
I am selling contracts, but I am not satisfied with the number of contracts I am selling. I know I can do better, and I know our product is a much better one. People can just save some extra money, buying 100% green energy, and the best thing is that they don't need to do anything. I just need to give them a call, make some confirmation by phone, and they get the papers at home after 2 weeks about everything we have said during the phone conversation. Also, after they receive the papers by mail, they still have 2 weeks "regret period" , which means they can still cancel the contract for whatever reason!!

Also, another thing I would like to add here is that we have a very well-designed web-page, and would it be a good idea that I send text messages to people before calling them on phone?(So they have some idea who is calling, and that we are legal,etc..)

My question is: How to attract more people to buy my product? What would YOU* do if you were on my place?!

I would be more than happy if I get some answers Big Grin.

Thanks for the patience , and thank you for reading this lengthy message.

Warm greetings from the cold Finland.

Well my friend your problem seems to be very genuine under the current market scenario, but i would like to advise you to take help from social media sites, which helps through all sort of promotional activities at the same time with much required propaganda. Nowadays it is considered as the best medium to reach people of every genre.
