two wrongs don't make it right!
you both were in the wrong. and if you both keep this path up it will ruin what relationship you do have.

I wouldn't go through my daughter's stuff, but if your mother is still supporting you AND your child, she has some rights and responsibilities to supervise you until you're 18. She probably doesn't want to become responsible for yet ANOTHER child if you're repeating your mistakes.
