John, you are a wise and mature thinker. Facebook is just a girly thing for people who have no, or poorly-developed, social skills. Stay away from it! It's called a social networking site, but it isn't really that, because the only real social networking that's worth having is face-to-face contact, or, at least, telephone contact. Facebook is no substitute for knocking on your friend's front door, or picking up the phone, and inviting them over for coffee or just a chat. You have, no doubt, seen a Facebook page. Have you noticed how juvenile, immature, and just plain stupid many of the people in those silly photographs look? And the lines of so-called "friends"! A Facebook person is saying, "Look at me, everyone! Aren't I interesting? Read what I did yesterday, and the day before! And I am so popular! Yes, I am! You can tell just how popular when you count up all my friends' photos!" Leave it alone, John. Your opinion of Facebook is exactly right.
