Is it a substantial amount?
Years ago someone owed me money (about £5,000 todays value) and I hired a private investigator. He found the bloke within a week and he had moved from North Yorkshire to Weymouth.I've no idea what tactics were used but it impressed me.
It was all to no avail because even after a civil court case which I won I never got one penny off him.
The P.I. cost me the equivalent of about £200.
