Social-networking Web site Facebook Inc. is quietly working on a new advertising system that would let marketers target users with ads based on the massive amounts of information people reveal on the site about themselves. . .

Facebook makes its money on the APP's / the Advertising and the multitudes of hits it receives.... If you have a website that has high volume such as Facebook then its a HUGE payoff... Can you say google? or Yahoo? ha ha ha

Hi there,

Face book uses information like ages, sex location interests etc...... and they sell it to advertising companies so they can use the information to market their products, this is what I was told by a good friend of mine not long ago. Also they make it the same way the other people have listed via adverts.

Cheers Smile

Their advertising system generates a small percentage of money when someone clicks on it. Imagine an ad with a cost of 0.05 per click with a couple of millions clicks per day. A lot of money.

Hope this helps!!
