What happens if you use the apps?
and what happens when the apps dont really work? Do they track me so other people can see whose profile I viewed?

You won't believe how many times this question has been asked. Try searching in the bar above where it says "Search Y! Answers" before asking any question. But the answer is no. In a few hours this same question will be asked again.

Any app that claims to let you see that is probably lying, and/or will be blocked soon.

You can't, and even the apps that CLAIM you can view who's seen your profile make you take a survey before you can use it. But, whatever the app says, you may not be able to view who has been on your profile at all.

Facebook doesn't allow people to track who views their profiles or contents. Third party applications are also are unable to track anybody.
