Why is it ok to call people skinny but not fat? - Jessica - 03-24-2014 10:37 AM

It's the same thing, just the opposite. It's like rich and poor. Like what's wrong with being fat

Haha, would they prefer if we called them obese?

- Eliot K - 03-24-2014 10:47 AM

It is not okay to refer to people's body in either case.

- Milo - 03-24-2014 10:49 AM

It's not the same thing.

Weight is not important as long as u r healthy.

- M - 03-24-2014 10:57 AM

being fat is unhealthy and so is being too skinny

- Ivan - 03-24-2014 11:05 AM

nothing wrong with calling them either. they are what they are

- Kirsty - 03-24-2014 11:11 AM

i think its rude to say.either to be honest.

- rian - 03-24-2014 11:16 AM

what's wrong with being fat? health problems and it's unsightly.

- RiffRaff - 03-24-2014 11:18 AM

It's rude to call someone either.

There are just more people who are overweight than there are underweight, and majority rules, so it's more acceptable to insult the minority than the majority because fewer people are offended.

That doesn't make it "okay" in either case, though.
