Same things happened to me =( I've tried everything that has been suggested and it hasn't worked for me....

I have tried both fixes listed here but so far nothing worked..I tried over 10 names...how many names do you have to enter...glad to see it is a FB glitch...sure hope they fix it soon....

I had the same problem too but I was able to re - activate my account (",)..! TRY THIS...
If you have facebook messages in your email account,
click on the link under "To see the comment thread, follow the link below" ---- that will link you back onto FB login.
You are then asked for your login details, it will say something "account is registered but need confirmation... Check email for confirmation code".
On the bottom, you'll see something " reset password or request for new password"---- you then check your email. Follow the link provided by FB on the email as well as copy and paste the confirmation code sent to you by FB...
First attempt might not be successful... but try it for at least 3x.
I was able to reactivate it on the second try.
It worked for me... hope i'll work for you too =)
