you put it as your status , so that everyone checks it out , and one of them is your teacher
do one thing , make a group of the students that you are with in school and kkeep teachers out from that group , then post things in the group , so that no teachers can see wats going on
we did the same

When you post anything on Facebook you have lost any reasonable expectation of privacy.Parents check on their kids accounts,bosses check on employees ( and they have been fired due to what the employer considers unacceptable conduct or content.)"friends " can check on each other, use the different social networks for bullying,etc What was intended to be a sight for friends and family to stay in touch has also showed it can have a darker side.A good rule of thumb is to never put into print or say anything you want to be kept private.It only takes a spark to start a wildfire. It is NOT illegal. Anything you put on the internet is public. I suggest you and/or your friend watch what you put on Facebook (or elsewhere). Are you aware that you can set your profile so that the teacher can not view it?

she shouldn't be doing that but she can if she wants to just make a my space or delet that facebook wait 14 days make new one with a diffrent name and tell your teacher your mom said you had to delet your facebook only if she askes but what ever yyou do on face book you telling the whoel word I said as my stutas the this boy was a b*tch and got suspended for 5 days

Wow that teacher has a lot of time on his/her hands! I can't imagine checking all of my 90 students facebook page... I have better things to do... not today though cause I'm on this dull yahoo forum but usually I do LOL

Ummm, if you make it private, your teacher can't see it. If you don't make it private, anyone on earth can see it and use it any way they want to.

I'm not sure if it's breaking the law, but then again they shouldn't be getting too involved in things that happen outside of school and aren't in reference to school either. They also probably shouldn't be checking up on you out of school either. Why do you or your friend have this teacher as a friend on facebook anyway? Or if you don't then check your privacy settings so only friends can view your page etc. so this teacher can't see it.
Just be careful of what you post on the internet next time, but I do agree that your teacher probably went too far looking on your profile pages to 'check up on you'.
