Is it better to empty cache or leave it? - PhillyNilly - 04-28-2014 10:40 AM Does the cache affect the performance of the Chrome? Does more cache make it slower? Or does less cache make it slower? What is cache? - Netherstorm - 04-28-2014 10:47 AM It does somewhat effect Chrome's performance, I would empty it. - Deighton - 04-28-2014 10:54 AM once in the cache, items, such as the graphics that always appear in Yahoo for example, don't need to be downloaded everytime you visit a site. If you empty the cache, all graphics have to be downloaded again the first time they appear. The cache is to save the effort of repeatedly downloading the same item. A huge cache can start to take too long to search though. On balance I think a sensible sized cache is best. |
