Am i allowed to add my primary school teacher on Facebook? - Emily - 05-14-2014 10:39 PM Okay so i added my TA on facebook from primary school (i am in year 9) and i live in the UK. I am not sure weather to add my primary school teacher on facebook as i don't know weather if i will get into trouble are you allowed. Thanks for answering. Emily. - Au DeSuzanna - 05-14-2014 10:54 PM Since your teacher is in an academic relationship and has responsibility and authority over your education, it is not wise to connect with them on FB. I would not be surprised if your school has a policy against teachers being "friends" with students, even as liberal as the UK is. I am FB friends with some of my college professors - but didn't "friend" with them until well after I graduated from graduate school (year 18). Year 9 is considerably too young in my opinion for social networking with your teacher. Sorry! |
