Why do some people put @yournamehere on Facebook sometimes? - smky_mtn_cutie - 01-17-2013 01:38 PM

I'm lost. I keep seeing this on Facebook and Twitter...@andsomeonesname. Any ideas?

To show who you're talking and directing your comment towards.

The @ (at) symbol is just another way of indicating who you're referring to in a response, usually if there are multiple responses or the person to whom you're referring could be mistaken.

@Original poster:

Its just to show who they are talking to directly.
