What are some ways to promote an e-book if you can't bring yourself to join facebook or twitter? - Off My Meds - 01-23-2013 01:44 AM

I don't really care about making a living as an author, I just wrote a novel to see if I could. Still, it would be nice to sell a few dozen copies.
Thanks Dawnkey. I didn't want to be accused of spamming the board so I didn't link to it here.
But it is on my profile page, where it's kosher to link.
Thanks for the links Desolate & Just Be, I'll look into them. & thanks Seven, I'm completely shameless, so I may try that too. Smile)
Thanks to everyone who said they were willing to pimp it.
And to to those who said they bought it, Thanks! Uhm, sorry, no refunds...

Try lulu.com.

A guy in my area has made lots of copies of the cover of his book, added instructions on where to download it and how to contact him, and stuck them up in shops, on notice boards and in public places like Supermarket 'public advert' boards all over the area. But you could do that all over the city you live in.

Protip: local halls and church meeting rooms always have notice boards and the people that meet there, old folk, non-working mums, hobbyists and Alcoholics Anonymous all have time on their hands so might buy your book if they see the ad.

I ordered Uncle Wayne's latest book!!! I can't wait for it to come! XD

Let me know if yours goes up for sale, too...I'd love to see what it's about.

I put some links below that might help.
Now I'm going to go check out your book.
Congrats!
Many Blessings!

Amazon will publish for you at no cost. They will even sell hard copies and will only print one up when one is ordered.

Oops! Guess I shoulda checked your link first. :-p

So this is why you've been falling down on your duties of regaling us with clever questions.
Besides that dang link ain't even working! How am I supposed to get saved now?

Amazon has a self-publishing section for e-books.

Well you could always enlist your contacts who are on those forums to pimp it out for you.

E-mail a copy to Princess and ask her (nicely of course) to come back and spam us with questions about it. :-)

I think you just did a very good job of it. I'm about to download!

EDIT: @ angels - you can download Kindle for PC FREE. though that doesn't help with the Amazon side of things. I just swallowed hard.
