Why do people on facebook...? - Mel - 01-23-2013 03:05 PM

I just saw a status from a guy who was wishing his son a happy birthday. He had written it as if he was speaking to him. His son is 6 and does not have facebook.

So why do people do this type of thing?
If you want people to know its your sons birthday, then that's fine. But don't write a letter to him on facebook that he will not see.

Its what people do. Like a public display.
For example, they say RIP on the anniversary of a death. Just to get it out there..

To get attention.

They want everyone else to know it's their kid's birthday because they think their kid is extra special

because people want to air their personal business in public on that stupid site nowadays.
they use it as a way to let people know what is going on in their lives, without even being asked or anyone showing any actual interest, they use it to boast, get sympathy and use it as a way to get attention.
the "c" in the name should be a "k"
