I think it would be better to say it in person. It is more cute and romantic to tell her face to face.

You are right about wanting to have it be in person and not have it be through a text. Tomorrow at school I think you should definitely tell her in person. It is more meaningful! I think you should say something cute! Be like "since the world might end today, I want you to know that I like you" I know it sound cheesy, but you know what I mean and it goes with the theme! But definitely do it in person!
