So every so often a teenage relative or friend will type what appears to be random code? - teflonmike1 - 01-16-2014 02:40 PM

I understand from previous answers that for example 3B94E873 relates to a Blackberry sharing thing, But how do you see what the link is.. or what theyr'e sharing etc ?

If you have a blackberry or the bbm app it's the phones ID so you can talk to your friend or person with over the app which is free messaging. Like when you attach to a wireless network.

I hope that makes sense?

That is a unique id which every Blackberry messenger has. Just like an email address or a phone number. People share them so they can add each other on Blackberry messenger. It is no use to you unless you download BBM.
