Can you use "You" in an essay on the SAT?
Could I say something like this (just an example) for the SAT in the closing paragraph, or is it too informal?
I'm taking the SAT tomorrow, and I'm not sure if saying something like this would be appropriate. "Overall, the technology of the 21st century is what has made the meaning of privacy change from keeping every family matter private, to discussing what will be made for Thanksgiving dinner on your sisters Facebook wall." You can, but it is safer to just saying 'discussing what's for thanksgiving dinner on facebook'
in general, avoid making your essay sound conversational. Ads |

It can be used a couple of times, like in quotes like this, but avoid mentioning it throughout your essay.
