If they were only your friends because of her and you wouldn't hang out with them simply because of who they are and for their own merits, cut them loose - you have no further obligation to them.
But if you genuinely like them, keep in touch. You're divorcing your wife, not her family. Odds are, they will make that choice for you, depending upon how much crap she gives them for remaining friends with you. I'm still good friends with my sister's ex, and they have been divorced for 20 years. That choice is yours - and theirs - and has NOTHING to do with her. Good luck - its never easy. |

I have nothing to do with my ex's family. They no longer acknowledge me after we got divorced and I really don't care. They always did think that I was not good enough to be in their family. Good riddance to all of them.
