Should parents monitor there children's texting and social media conversations and actions ?
I had to write an essay on this topic and has been on my mind ever since .. & I'd like To know What's your opinion ?

Nah. Just stay in their child's life and build a close and trusting bond with them, that they wouldn't wanna break and fell bad if they did.

I feel due to the content on social media etc.- parents really have a duty to pay attention and monitor the use. I don't believe it should be framed as an imposition but rather as safety. I feel as adults and parents we are not authoritarian administrators of rules but in a position to reason with our children in open communication where we serve as mentors.. I also believe this involves allowing our children to be privy to see what we engage in with social media.

Parents probably should. Whether they do or not is another thing altogether. I think any effort made by parents to understand and help guide their children is not a wasted effort.
