How can I set limits for these Facebook friends of mine?

You can create a "limited profile" where you select exactly what they can and cannot see. You can build your limited profile in the "privacy" options. Once you create your limited profile, you can add the contacts which you want to view it. Make sure your profile is overall protected (make sure only your friends can view your profile). If not, these people could sign on with another account and see all the information (which would defeat the purpose in the limited profile).
