It's just a facebook status.
Maybe he's not the kind of guy who wants to share every detail of his life with the public- there is absolutely nothin wrong with that, and its actually a really sad commentary on our society today that a person focuses so much energy on something so minute as a Facebook status instead of pausing to consider that, hey, he asked you out, didn't he?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you accept to be his girlfriend solely to update your profile or because you're interested in dating him?
