I don't know anyone who's done this, but I don't think it's a terrible idea. It's one way to share frequent baby updates with those who want them instead of filling your own page with every little thing that baby does. I could see it as being a fun thing for grandparents or other relatives and close friends to follow while people who don't want all the baby details can simply not friend the baby.

I don't understand why your mom is posting favorite movies and TV shows on the baby's page, but that's her business, I guess.
