Why do people think that twitter is just for celebrities talking about what they are doing every minute ?

At first I only followed celebs just to get updates and stuff, but then I realized that many famous photographers had twitters and would tweet out photo advice, contests,important info regarding laws about photos, which sites are bad for your pics, cool blogs, reviews about equipment ect. I learned a lot from twitter, especially from following good photographers, it's also nice to share you pics on twitter.
