how do you follow someone on twitter i mean if none of my freinds are on twitter how can you use twitter?

First you have to find people to follow. You do that by searching for people, if none of your friends are on it, search for someone in your favourite bands or something. Then click on "follow" underneath their photo. If the person you are following is following you aswell, you can send them a direct message.
