....hi there.......each of us acts out our 'shy' in different ways,,,it's amazing anyone -ever- gets together!
........it's possible from what you say that the fellow is also playing his options,,which is okay-he's single afterall.,and you both seem to have busy lives as well.

...for the personal issues you describe of anxiety,depression,,,and the other unknowns above,,,,I'd really suggest you take the 'friends-first' approach to romance and relationships....
....sooo many people are in -such- a hurry---sooo many get hurt!!!
............you'll -know- when things are right!!!!
