Generally speaking here in the U.S. is goes like this:

Right-wing: Promote Christianity, low taxes, small government, gun rights, "traditional" values, traditional marriage, life over choice, death penalty, capitalism and a free market.

Left-wing: Promote secularism, progressiveness, science, government regulations, choice over life, anti-death penalty, gay rights, social safety nets and are anti-corporations.
