You might want to ask in the beauty section about the hair thing. It has nothing to do with martial arts.
The independence thing is a question for the social section. It too has nothing to do with martial arts.
As for you wanting to learn martial arts find a teacher. Noone on here can teach you. We can advise you how to find a good school but the rest is up to you. So shut down your computer, go out and start visiting some schools and watch the classes and see what you can relate to. If you have questions about what you saw we are here to help.
