What motivates people to create computer viruses?

It started out as a game but they soon learned that they could turn this into a business. The more you make (Viruses) the more the market grows for your fixes. Do you know how much time it takes to fix a problem and wonder how there is a fix as soon as you get the problem. They do not want you to get so frustrated that you abandon the PC. They must keep you in the market in order to make more sales. No virus is released without having a fix in the pocket ready to make a sale.
